Talk about an adventure elopement… 🤯 Nicole and Cameron braved cold temps, strong winds, and deep snow to get married Valentine’s Day Weekend 2021. They traded in dress shoes for hiking boots and snowshoes and embraced the amazing challenges of having a winter elopement.
Nicole and Cameron got ready on separate floors of this beautiful triangle cabin near Breckenridge. Picking a getting ready location with multiple rooms or floors is especially important if you’d like to have a first look or see your partner for the first time at the ceremony. The gorgeous wood tones and natural lighting in this cabin really complemented the adventurous, rustic vibes of the day.

Once Nicole and Cameron were ready to go, we drove to the trailhead. We blindfolded Cameron so they could have a true first look moment on the trail. Nicole snowshoed up the pass first, and Cameron hiked up a few minutes later.
After their first look, we snowshoed further up the pass until we reached an open clearing. There’s normally a great mountain view here, but the snow was falling so heavily that we couldn’t see past the trees. However, this magical winter wonderland was still the perfect place for these two to pregame/keep warm with some Fireball shots, get married (!!!), pop a bottle of sparkling water, and eat dessert.
